The gala fundraiser helped support the Children Mending Hearts arts & cultural exchange programs for homeless and at-risk children in the United States and refugee children suffering from armed conflict worldwide. Kate, who will star in the off-Broadway play Dusk Rings a Bell, was part of this year's Host Committee. Her marriage to film exec Alex Young was officially dissolved by a Los Angeles judge earlier this week. |

The Material Girl, 51, called the episode “brilliant,” according to Us Weekly, adding, “The dialogue and the entire script was genius. I completely appreciated the layers of irony, especially when all those macho boys sang ‘What It Feels Like For A Girl’.” “I also loved the fantastic performances of ‘Vogue,’ ‘Express Yourself’ and all the messages about the boys being respectful to girls,” Madonna continued. Apparently the entire family got into the episode: “[Daughter] Lola loved the show too,” Madonna concluded. “I wish I went to a high school like that…If only.” Glee’s “The Power of Madonna” episode airs Tuesday (April 20) at 9/8c on FOX! |

Cole Rachel: On knowing a thing or two about jobs requiring shirtlessness before True Blood: "People back home knew me because I'd done a soap opera there for a few years. After that job ended, I came to the States for what was supposed to be a five-day holiday. I basically never left." On his character Jason Stackhouse being so far removed from his own personality: "I'm a pretty down-to-earth, private kind of guy. And this character is so impulsive, so lacking of any forethought or any kind of willpower. It's great to be constantly required to throw all caution to the wind and play someone so wild." On season 3 of True Blood having lots of surprises: "They never rest on their laurels when it comes to figuring out new ways to shock people. (laughs) Every time we get a new script we all just sort of sit around in awe. It's like, Are we really going to make this? In ep “Hook, Line and Sinner,” Sloan returns to Mark’s apartment, just as she’s going into labor, and Teddy, Mark and the still-fighting Callie and Arizona are there to help with the birth and to get Mark through his grandson’s pending adoption. Former Golden Girls actress Betty White will be co-hosting the night with six former female SNL cast members: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch. Betty was recently asked if she knew if Jay-Z was going to be the musical guest. She told Zap2It, “I really didn’t, in all honesty. I was just so thrilled when I heard that Tina and the girls were going to do it, I have tried not to have anything to say [on the creative end].
