Their personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, recently shared that scary skinny starlets aren’t thinking ahead. “If you’re emaciated skinny, you don’t feel great,” he shared. “There are compromises and sacrifices. Women should look like women. Women need natural curves, and women if they’re too lean, their hormonal cycle gets thrown off and they stop looking and feeling like women. | Nicole Kidman Visits, Spotlights Post-Quake Haiti Posted: 30 Jul 2010 06:44 PM PDT  Nicole Kidman visits Haiti on Friday (July 30) and calls for the urgent need to address gender-based violence among affected populations. The 43-year-old Goodwill Ambassador for UNIFEM (United Nations Development Fund for Women) also stressed the critical need to support long-term initiatives that advance women's livelihoods as part of the rebuilding efforts. In Haiti, Nicole and UNIFEM exec director Inés Alberdi (pictured here) met with survivors of violence living in a temporary camp, with Haitian and UN officials, and with national non-governmental organizations working to support women's needs in recovery efforts after the devastating earthquake. “During this trip I saw first-hand how this humanitarian disaster is impacting women and girls. The lack of shelter and security makes them more vulnerable to violence, in particular sexual violence,” Nicole said. "Yet, I have also seen the determination and resilience of women and men in Haiti to rebuild their country. Today I visited a temporary shelter for women and girls who experienced sexual violence or are at risk, where women leaders work to make sure there are medical and legal services as well as counseling and livelihood training. This needs to be done on a large scale and they need our support.” FYI: Nicole and husband Keith Urban recently manned the phones during a Haiti telethon and are donating money to build schools there. |

EW reports the 37-year-old actor (and current beau of country singer LeAnn Rimes) will play a bounty hunter in at least two episodes. Chase tells the story of a team of U.S. marshals that hunt down dangerous fugitives. Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives) and Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break) are part of the regular cast. |

Here’s what the 23-year-old actress, who posed for celeb photographer Mitchell McCormack, had to share: On being homeschooled: “I studied through 12th grade. You can do that with homeschooling because it's more flexible. I just blew through the grades and graduated early. I don't think I missed out on anything by not going to high school. Home schooling is becoming more common in the US. It's not that unusual in the southern and western states. The day I graduated, I was off to Miami to become a model. My parents, being so conservative, did not like it, of course. But I was always a pretty headstrong daughter and I was financially independent, so nothing was going to stop me. I packed my bags and my uncle drove me to South Beach." On surprising casting directors: "I had interesting reactions from casting directors. To them, I suppose, I looked like this blonde bimbo with a New York attitude who should be a model, not an actress. I remember one of them apologised to me when I had finished my audition. He said: 'Oh my God, you really can act!'” On working hard: "The truth is that you have to work to be an actor, and I work my a– off. When his family is kidnapped, he is thrust into a government conspiracy and must unravel his father’s darkest secret in order to save his loved ones.” Mabrouk El Mechri, who directed the faux Jean-Claude Van Damme documentary JCVD, will kick off production Sept. 6 in Spain. Heidi, 23, has filed for divorce from Spencer nearly two months after she went to court to seek out a legal separation. Her lawyer, Jodeane Farrell, tells People, “Heidi has amended her petition for separation and today has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt.” “The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner in an out of court settlement,” Jodeane continued. “Both parties are amicable with each other and over the possibility of finalizing their divorce.” UPDATE: Spencer has responded to Heidi’s filing, saying, “I love Heidi but our marriage was a show – it was part of The Hills world. And that world is on a sound stage. Not much is known about the film but the 51-year-old Material Mom has said it’s about a girl who has this obsession about going to auctions. Madonna explained to Interview, “Yeah, [it's] the movie everyone thinks I’m making that’s supposed to be a musical about the duke and duchess of Windsor. I don’t know why that got in the newspapers. The duke and duchess of Windsor are in the movie, but it’s not going to be about them. It’s really about this other woman’s journey, and the duchess is kind of her spiritual guide. … I use the Sotheby’s auction in 1998 of the duke and duchess of Windsor’s estate as a device to flash backward from.” She added, “I’ve been writing it for the last two and a half years, to tell you the truth.
