The 37-year-old actress was joined by pals Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld to help support the charity, which provides New York City’s families in need with essential equipment, clothing, and products for their infants and young children. Earlier this week, the title track from the soundtrack for Gwyneth’s upcoming film Country Strong was released, featuring her very own vocals!

Here’s what the 38-year-old actress had to share with us exclusively: On her new show: No Ordinary Family premieres September 28th at 8pm on ABC. It’s been such an exciting transition for me to go from death on Dexter, to Desperate Housewives, and now onto this new show. You died on Angel, then Dexter! Why do they keep killing you?? How many deaths! (laughs) You know, my mom asked after my demise on Dexter, “Could you please be put on a show where they’re not gonna kill you off?” So I said “Okay, I’m looking for a comedy.” (laughs) What attracted you to No Ordinary Family? What I really love about my character Stephanie is that she’s a very strong active, female character. She’s a modern day woman, the bread winner of the family, and a working woman with a type A personality. Stephanie is also trying to be a good mother and a good wife, but she struggles woth that because there’s just not enough time in the day. I think it’s a role women can relate to universally — balancing work and the home, and being a mother and a wife. That’s what I really loved about it! What are your superpowers on the show? My character develops super speed. After a plane crash, we all develop a super ability and my character develops super speed. Are you running a lot? I am! The flick is the upcoming Planet of the Apes prequel, set for a June 24, 2011 release. Freida, 25, will play the role of Caroline, a primatologist. James, 32, will play a driven scientist who becomes a crucial figure in the war between humans and apes. |
