| 'The Smurfs' Official Trailer is Here! Posted: 10 Mar 2011 07:20 PM PST  Check out the premiere of the official trailer for the 3-D live action film, The Smurfs. The film stars Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays as a young couple who find the Smurfs lost in New York City and decide to help them get back home after the evil wizard Gargamel chased them out of their village, and into our world. The Smurfs features the voices of Katy Perry (as Smurfette), Star Trek's Anton Yelchin (as Clumsy Smurf), The Office's B.J. Novak (as Baker Smurf), X-Men's Alan Cumming (as Gutsy Smurf), George Lopez (as Grouchy Smurf), Jonathan Winters (as Papa Smurf) and Hank Azaria (as Gargamel). The new film is set to be released on August 3rd! |

The 30-year-old actor and singer and his 29-year-old actress girlfriend had been together since 2007 and were most recently seen together at the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party. “There are no hard feelings,” a source told People, adding, “It was completely mutual and they both decided it was time to move on.” The source adds that Jess and Justin will remain friends despite the split. |

The 23-year-old actor will co-star alongside Brittany Robertson on the Kevin Williamson produced show. Secret Circle is based on the book series from Vampire Diaries author L.J. Smith. It revolves around a young woman named Cassie (Brittany) who discovers that not only is she a witch and part of a top-secret coven, but she's also the key that will unlock a centuries-old battle between good and evil. Thomas plays the male lead, Adam, the oldest member of the aforementioned coven and a love interest for Cassie (Brittany). |

Neverland is a four-hour live action TV movie set to air on Syfy this coming December! The 24-year-old actress and her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, requested a continuance in court. Because Lindsay did not accept a plea bargain in today’s session, the case will be sent to a trial judge for a preliminary hearing. Linds is in court because of a felony grand theft charge over a necklace she allegedly stole from a Venice jewelry store. | Spider-Man: Julie Taymor Replaced as Director Posted: 10 Mar 2011 09:30 AM PST  Julie Taymor will leave her post as the director of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. The troubled production has also delayed opening night from March 15 “to an evening in the early summer, 2011,” producers said in a statement. The show is also set to be revamped with new music, sound, staging, and book rewrites before the opening. “Julie Taymor is not leaving the creative team,” producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris said. “Julie’s previous commitments mean that past March 15th, she cannot work the (daily) 24/7 necessary to make the changes in the production in order to be ready for our opening.” |
| 'Lost' Stars Talk Life After Leaving the Island Posted: 10 Mar 2011 09:10 AM PST  Lost actors Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, and Josh Holloway share their thoughts on returning to real life after their hit series ended. Here’s what the actors had to share in a new EW interview: Matthew, on Jack’s role in the finale:. "Redemption is always a big theme for me, so I had waited a long, long time for that moment for Jack. He had made so many mistakes and fallen apart and become this shell of a man and was really lost. And to finally get to play that end where he knows - he has the singular clarity of what he's meant to do and what the sacrifice will be - that felt good." Jorge, on people’s reactions to the series finale: "I still get people who say that they love the show and didn't like the ending, and they'll ask me what I thought of the ending. I love the ending. For one thing, I end up with the Island. How can I not like that ending?" Josh, on looking back at moments in his life surrounding the show: "God, it was just magical. That's where I got my first home, got married, had my first child. The things that happened there in Hawaii were phenomenal. I have no regrets…. However, [last summer] I'm looking around going, 'Damn, I wish I had a job to go to.' I was a little bit - forgive the pun, I'm gonna finally be able to use that word lost again one day - but I felt a little lost. I'm like, 'Oooh, this is tough to hang back and play chess now.'" |
