| 'American Horror Story': Ryan Murphy's New FX Show! Posted: 18 Feb 2011 08:20 PM PST  Ryan Murphy’s resume just got a bit longer - the Glee creator has signed on for the FX pilot American Horror Story! The 45-year-old screenwriter, director, and producer will be teaming up with Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk, whom he worked with on FX’s Nip/Tuck, for the new drama set to begin production in April. “American Horror Story is a project that Brad and I have been discussing for a while … FX is the perfect place for this series and we look forward to a great homecoming,” Ryan said in a statement. “And as for Glee, fans can rest assured that we haven't taken our eyes off that ball for a second,” he added. “We've broken the stories for the season's remaining episodes and we've got big things planned for our little glee club as it strives to make it past Regionals to the all-important Nationals competition in New York City.” ARE YOU EXCITED for Ryan and Brad’s new show? |

Here’s what the 24-year-old Glee and I Am Number Four star had to share: On whether she wants to be a recording artist: “No, not really. I never solicited myself as a singer until I realized I could use that to a musical standpoint. I loved musicals growing up. Classic films were some of the only ones I watched. So when the opportunity came for the show to audition, of course it was all of a sudden, ‘I sing! I sing! Send me in, please. I beg of you. On life before Glee: “When I first moved to LA, I lived in a one-bedroom apartment, and it got a little seedy around our area. One time, SWAT was at our building because somebody’s houseguest had gone off their meds and was schizophrenic and shouting, ‘He’s going to kill me, He’s going to kill me!’ Somebody called the cops. I’m coming home from a dance class and I see this chopper circling my building and SWAT all downstairs.” On how she deals with fame: “On a day-to-day basis, it doesn’t really affect me much because the places that I go in LA very rarely have paparazzi, and if there are fans, they’re so nice and easygoing. The only thing it changes sometimes is there can be interviews where they will skew your words or there can be things that you hope people don’t assume about you. In his interview with Frida, the 32-year-old actor compared film to fashion as they are works of art that need to evolve over time. “In film, you think of the director as a kind of artist,” James said. “But if you’re directing a movie, especially if it’s very expensive, you have something of a responsibility to make the money back for that studio.
