The 23-year-old singer, who helped kick off Fashion Week with fellow fashionistas, posed on the red carpet with Cyndi Lauper - the two even wore the shades of lipstick that they created to benefit the MAC AIDS Fund! When asked if fellow judge Simon Cowell ever lays into her the way he did Paula Abdul, Kara answered, “Definitely. It’s hard for me to say something negative to a contestant without giving something constructive back, and that annoys Simon. On rumors that his song “Heartbreak Warrior” is about Jennifer Aniston: “I want to go on record saying it’s not. That woman would never use heartbreak warfare. That woman was the most communicative, sweetest, kindest person.” On Jessica Simpson: “That girl, for me, is a drug. And drugs aren’t good for you if you do lots of them. Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me. Sexually it was crazy. That’s all I’ll say.
